Wordpress to Joomla Converter, Completed with GUI, Download
DanThe awaited full release of the Wordpress to Joomla converter is now here.
A simple GUI has been wrapped around each of the steps to make it a little more user friendly. However there is no GUI for the configuration of the converter, however this will be added in future versions of the converter, when further feedback is received, and bug fixes, enhancements and further conversion points are requested.
Simply as the requirements of the converter grow, so till will it’s features and user friendliness.
Please send in any feedback, bugs or enhancements and consider donating if you found the converter useful.

hi dan,
Am wondering if you are aware of DayDremer.com, who also wrote a WP-to-Joomla converter, and if so, how does it compare with yours? I’m debating which to try first, yours or theirs thanks

I hadn’t seen this converter. I also looked at DayDremer.com which comes up as having no site. I also tried DayDreamer.com which doesnt have anything either.
I can honestly say I don’t know how it compares.
Mine works, I know that much, but to what extent vs another I don’t know. I could have spent more time converting the content tags, and will probably do more upon request, but for now it works well enough. The one thing I need to add to mine is better conversion of line breaks, but it’s a minor thing, and something I will work on for next release.
Best advice I can give, is set up a test Joomla install and try the conversion see how it works.
